Built by Mewes and Davis, who designed The Ritz, the building has retained many of its original Edwardian features including its gilt curves, frescoes and rosewood panelling. The Jones has a stunning theatre commissioned in the late 1800s by Edward VII for his mistress, Lillie Langtree. It has been restored to its former glory and provides a stage for London?s emerging creative talent. Each evening guests can sample a slice of contemporary cultural London, with 20-minute performances of music, theatre and poetry.

In contrast to the historic architecture of the public spaces, the fully equipped guest rooms have very modern facilities: flat-screen interactive TVs, free Wi-Fi (for the first hour) and MP3 ports.
