This stylish, privately run 3-star hotel is a beautiful, early 20th-century building, located in the western Berlin district of Charlottenburg, very close to the ICC congress centre and exhibition grounds. As a residential building dating back to 1909, the Minotel Brandies boasts many historic features, such as high chimneys, large hallways, wood panelling, fireplaces, Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) windows and the hotel?s original lift. The Hotel Brandies provides a choice between comfort rooms facing the inner courtyard, and standard rooms which are soundproofed and overlook the vibrant Kaiserdamm boulevard. Free wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel. The Minotel Brandies is ideal for business travellers attending the exhibition centre. It also provides excellent S-Bahn (city train) and U-Bahn (underground train) connections to all main attractions in the heart of Berlin. Room information
Most rooms are quietly situated and overlook the beautiful garden. Other rooms offer a street view ("Kaiserdamm and Funkturm") from the balcony and have soundproofed windows.
Area information
The ICC (International Congress Center) is in walking distance, the fair grounds and the Funkturm are only 5 minutes away. With the subway station right in front of the hotel you can easily reach Potsdamer- and Alexanderplatz in less than 20 min, the Kurfürstendamm and the Zoo are only 10 minutes away.
Travel information
From Tegel Airport:
Take the X9 or 109 bus to Zoologischer Bahnhof. Then change to the U2 underground line towards Ruhleben. Get off at Kaiserdamm and exit the station to the right, and the Minotel Brandies is just a few metres ahead.
From Schönefeld Airport:
Take the Regional Express train or the S9 city train line as far as Zoologischer Garten. Change to the U2 underground line and proceed as above.
By car:
Follow the A10 Berliner Ring (ring road) until the Dreieck Nuthetal motorway junction, and take the A115 motorway exit towards Berlin. At the Dreieck Funkturm junction, take the exit marked Messedamm/ICC. Continue straight on as far as the Kaiserdamm junction, turn left and you will come to the hotel.
